Chicken

By A Poem Guy

Scared little chicken?

Frightened?

Afraid little boy?

Nervous?

Be a man little boy,

Grow up.

Be a man little chicken,

Stand your ground.

The chicken crossed the road,

To run from himself,

I’ve noticed that you cross the road

The same.

You keep hiding,

But eventually someone will find you,

And all that time spent running will run up to you.

And it’s much faster.

You need to face it,

Your chicken will die,

Roast it,

Eat it,

Grow from it.

Stop hiding little chicken,

Like a lizard losing his tail,

How much will you give up to keep going?

Grow up little chicken,

It’s catching up to you.
