Formats

By A Poem Guy

Bringing out personas

Through the way it is written,

A form of formations,

Building the foundation of words.

To read,

Or be read,

Be seen,

Or be said.

A change unsaid,

Yet vital,

Perception altered to accommodate,

Yet nothing has changed.

Same words,

Same idea,

Different Format.

  • Changes the way it is read

  • The way it is received

  • The way it is perceived

  • Etc.

Revel in the statement more than the voice, the taste rather than the chef, the art from the artist.

But we don’t.

A politician relies on their words, until they no longer have to.

Relying on the format there on,

Surfing on an endless sea built by their popularity.

A gifted child relies on their skills, until they no longer can.

An impossible challenge for one who values their words,

Required to resort to format to survive.

Despite their skills in their writing,

They consume the air around them to eat.

While a man with format becomes a glutton.

Substance rather than form is agreed upon,

Until form becomes the substance,

Coming to see a person,

Rather than coming to see an idea.
