Japanese

By A Poem Guy

お胚葉!

Um, yes?

えっ、わかりません。

I totally agree with that.

あなたはあほですか?

Look, I don’t know what that means.

I wade through the trials that are set out in front of me.

But if they all lead to a “わかりません” then what is there for me to learn?

There’s probably a lot, too much to learn in a year,

Or two,

Or three.

Changing sentence structure,

And particles.

Svo,

To Sov.

This language is impossible, I swear

How do they learn it?

What’s the secret I don’t know?

How am I supposed to see their language?

And how,

Do they,

See this?

What is English like to a Japanese speaker?

A bunch of symbols and stupid rules?

With silent letters thrown everywhere?

To think through though there’s trouble?

Maybe theirs is different over there

They’re there thinking through their trials.

Even though they’re thought through,

They thought they should then try too?

I don’t know.

I don’t know Japanese
