“Doubt”

By A Poem Guy

Press X to doubt.

Maybe I see myself as a video game?

Controlled by someone sitting on a couch,

Wasting away.

I’m not in control,

I’m a character.

Non-important NPC.

Everyone else matters more than me.

With grey eyes,

In a grey world,

I wonder what it’s like

To not be me.

People tell me I do have a choice,

But they just do that in hopes I listen.

Like I’ll give them a reward,

Or a quest.

Trust is hard,

So maybe I don’t.

Growing is hard,

So maybe I won’t.

Press Y to learn,

Your attention is wasted on me.

A to agree,

Why say yes when I can refuse to see.

B to refuse,

I’m not a bad person, I’ll question until they leave,

X to doubt,

That’s the one for me.
