Venting

By A Poem Guy

Venting the air,

Through her hair,

Venting the joy,

Out of her smile.

Air ducts and Rubber ducks,

Trying to make joy,

But she isn’t happy,

It isn't her toy.

She wants to change,

Away from it all,

She wants to grow,

Keep getting tall.

For this girl,

Or guy,

Or soul,

Is a spirit trying to smile.

Trying to Level,

Trying to equalize their struggles forever,

Modeling the perfect picture,

What about her?

What is her picture,

Despair or unsure?

Venting an image,

Through books and tapes.

All the vents and ducks,

Still can’t lift her face.
