Being Alone
A Poem Guy
Being alone is not dark skies and grey clouds,
It’s much emptier.
When I’m alone I hide in my covers,
Waste my life on my phone.
Hours and Hours pass shorter than the blink of my eye.
I see monotone, sure,
Or I feel empty,
But being alone is not all it’s cracked up to be.
It’s not like another world,
It’s this one with nothing.
Colours vanish, maybe,
Or I feel like my heart has sunk into my chest,
But I don’t do anything to change it.
I don’t seek people out,
Fear of rejection.
Maybe less a fear,
I’m not scared,
Just unmotivated,
Being alone is being without anything,
Even sadness.
I’m a tree with no leaves in the spring,
I’m a fish with no scales in the ocean,
A cut with no blood to heal it,
A virus without cells to clone it,
I
Am
Alone.
