“Blue”
By A Poem Guy
Pink has always been a bit too bright for me.
I never liked the way it made me feel,
Like I was some kind of Barbie.
I see guys every day,
Not knowing what they have and throwing it away.
Why wear black?
When you can always wear blue?
Blue.
It’s the colour of the sky,
And the ocean rise,
And those blonde kid’s eyes.
My hair was too long,
So I cut it.
My dress was too ugly,
So I didn’t wear it.
Why not wear blue jeans instead?
Maybe a t-shirt today,
This crop-top is a little risque.
I’ll feel better around the guys anyways,
Even if they don’t care what I say.
Maybe I am Blue?
Pink’s certainly never been the colour for me.
And Grey has always been…
Too hard to see.
Blue’s more my style.
I’ll try it out for a while.
See if I like the way it makes me feel,
Maybe a little less like a Barbie shill.
